To find us by public transport:

It can be done, but it takes some planning! The nearest train station is Hope which is on the Northern Rail Service between Manchester and Sheffield (also called the Hope Valley Line). There are about 10 trains per day (more on Saturdays).

To get from Hope Station, to Tideswell, we recommend that you pre-order a taxi to pick you up from the Station as there is no taxi rank at the station itself.  And it’s a long walk to Tideswell (about 6 miles)!!

Here’s a link to the current train timetable to Hope: click here

A local taxi firm who are worth trying:  2-Nice Private Hire

Alternatively, you can catch a train to Sheffield and get a bus out to Tideswell. There are 5 buses per day (fewer on Sunday) and the trip out to Tideswell takes about an hour. The bus (number 65) leaves from Sheffield Interchange, about 5 mins walk from the train station in Sheffield, and drops you in the centre of Tideswell village.

Another alternative is to take a train to Chesterfield and then catch the number 66 or 67 bus from there. There are approx 4 buses per day. The bus takes less time to get from Chesterfield out to Tideswell (45 mins). But do note that the walk between the train station and the bus stop (on New Beetwell Street) is further than the Sheffield option.
